DescriptionGives lists of tenants holding land of the Manor of Ellington and the Prebendal Manor of Brampton. Quit rents were due at Michaelmas Courts. Brampton quit rents generally amount to less than £1 10s. The Steward of the two Manors deducted from the total amount of quit rents £3 1s for his dinner at Ellington and the parish clerk for the tolling of the Church bell giving notice of the manorial courts in session (Nos. 1-50)
