Title	Incomplete letter to Viscount Mandeville, from his father the Duke of Manchester, copied out in Lady Olivia Bernard Sparrow's handwriting
Description	Advising Mandeville against smoking and indolence. He has received a very dictatorial letter from Lady Olivia about the settlement, one of her "harrowing and insulting communications". He has decided against marrying a wealthy second wife to avoid accusations of covetousness. Mentions accusations of an "atrocious plot" by him to acquire the late Duchess's property. Sets out the financial situation for his son, including the lack of income from the Irish estate, allowances to family members and expenditure on Kimbolton.
