Title | Letter to Millicent, Lady Mandeville, from her husband, Lord Mandeville, London |
Description | Addressed to Millicent in Nice [France]. Received her last letter giving an account of her sickness, wishes she would take regular exercise more. Thankful for word of the "dearest babes". Her mother [Lady Olivia Bernard Sparrow] came to visit him in London, she spoke with much more humility and lowliness, but it ended with a bit of a scene when she "lamented their having been any coolness between us & said that she thought we both had been wrong" however the conservsation ended with cordial affection. Believes Lady Olivia is improving upon being away from the influence of Lady Gosford, Lord Gosford and Lord Willian Bentinck. Will start for Ireland tomorrow and be comming to her a few days after she receives this letter. Regards to Mr.Winter. Includes two religious hymms. |
