DescriptionHas heard no more from the Manchester Provident Society: the Queensland Government gives a free passage to 500 - the Glasgow Relief Committee cooperates in sending 125, their proportion of the 500; will now select 75 from Manchester Overlookers and 300 from other large towns in Lancashire: wishes to raise a fund for assisting these 500 on their arrival in the colony and is sending a letter to the TImes and other leading journals about this - hopes that the Duke will approve and head the subscription list.
