TitleDraft letter from the Duke of Manchester, Kimbolton Castle, to his brother, Lord Robert Montagu
DescriptionHe is head of the family, and heir at law, and he also did not hear of their grandmother's illness. He had been told by Lord Sandwich that she was ill and rode over at once and found their sister and Tankerville already there. He telegrammed Robert with the news as soon as he could on the day of her death. He was surprised that Robert did not come sooner so they had to go ahead with the arrangements without him.
