Description	The late Mr Phillips was undoubtedly a very clever man and meant well by the party. Their past disagreement would not stand in the way of his doing anything to assist his widow but the power for governors to nominate to Charterhouse come round once every six years and are much in request. He thinks Stanley's refusal of the Colonies does him credit.
