Description	He believes he has been foolish but did so to prevent Lady S spreading a report that might make Lady B think he didn't care about her. It was not sufficient to tell Lady S that he disliked Miss H but it was wrong of her to press him. What can he do to mend the matter? He is sorry Mandeville was so angry.
