Title | Letter from Lord Robert Montagu, Brampton Park, to his brother, the Duke of Manchester |
Description | He blames their sister, Olivia, for being indiscreet and for causing trouble between him and Louise. During his visit he was careful to be more civil to Louise than to Lady Sandwich, even though he has often met with more kindness from the Sandwiches at Hinchingbrooke than at Kimbolton. Princess Mary pressed him on the reason for his quarrel with Louise. He would be sorry to allow any thing to stop the good feeling which presently exists between him and Mandeville. Postscript: Dr B.J [Bence Jones] is concerned for their grandmother's health. |
