DescriptionThe Duke may have forgotten his old friend, who knew him in happier days at Windsor in company with Lambert, Wyndham and others. He has been forced to live abroad, as economically as possible, because the expectations promised by his father and grandfather were never realised. He must now get £100 before December to avoid ruin for himself, his wife and eight children. If the Duke can advance him the sum he will pay it back in four years.
