TitleLetter to Millicent Sparrow from her uncle, Lord William Bentinck, Brighton [Sussex]
DescriptionDescribes party for opening of the Chinese rooms at Brighton Pavilion. Rooms were beautiful but spoilt by the vulgar audience. He was well pleased but not quite enchanted by it all. The King complained of weakness but looked well. Enquiries were made by various people on the truth of a certain report about Millicent. She has not been herself recently and is too excitable. The wrong circumstances might unnerve that 'really stout heart of yours'.
