W. Laxton Esq of Fludyers Street, Westminster has approached Burness on behalf of another party, who wanted their agricultural engineer on Tuesday. Laxton will not reveal the other parties name, but stated it is a wealthy gentleman with estates in Kent. Hinted at surname hurridly, possibly Flyn. Asked if Burness would undertake the management of a farm or any farms along with the engineer. Answered that expected a salary of £300 per annum. Told Laxton he was looking for a situation and would close once a suitable proposal had been made.

Ends by asking the Duke to write back to Sir B.Wake.
