TitleLetter from Viscount Mandeville to Mr Loftie, Golden Grove in Llandeilo [Carmarthenshire]
DescriptionLetter regarding tenant matters. Received letter of the 10th, would have been better if Loftie had given more details of the repairs of the bow window. Would like an estimate and agreement for him to sanction. Work should be done as quietly as possible as Mr.Ashe is a respectable tennant, suggests offering him the house at the rear. No need to show too much concern for Ashe, likely to reside in Ireland in consequence of the abolition of Asses taper. Asks what grounds are to go with the house, Ashe is quoted as saying "a great part of the grounds have been exhausted by repeated crops".

Finds it extraordinary that £4,000, with £1,500 remitted in early part of last uear, should be all that was received of rents due November 1819.

Intends to inspect the property as soon as he is able, any leases to be signed should be sent to Mr. Williams and he will sign them on his next visit to town.
