DescriptionMany appearing ot be notes on historic and religious subjects, possibly compiled in preparation for one of the Duke's books. Also includes:
- list of antique heads in Blackwell's Court of Augustus (18th century)
- list of subjects for lectures at St George's, Bloomsbury (1852)
- newspaper cutting of an address by the Duke of Manchester, thanking the electors of Huntingdonshire following the death of his father and his retirement as an MP (1855)
- extract copied from The Globe, referring to a decision by the Duke of Norfolk not to sell land to the Sheffield Corporation (1876)
- notecards with handwritten proverbs and romantic statements e.g. "All hearts are riddles and some of the not worth knowing", "Can you spare me some of your smiles?" etc. (19th century)
- various copied verses and poems (19th century)
- extract copied from the journal of Elizabeth Woodville (19th century)
