DescriptionHe is not able to judge the Duke's finances and apologises that his letter was misunderstood. Relates a conversation with his grandmother, Lady Olivia Sparrow, who has cut off his allowance, leaving him no other course but to ask his father for money. It is harsh to blame him for his grandmother's actions. He is glad to hear the Duke will do all he can to enable him to marry. More discussion of the difficulties in economising in London.
