Description | He hopes Her Grace is now nearing Paris and will soon be in England. McCormick is ill of fever but there is every hope he may be spared. He has taken up McCormick's work and is looking after the crops. The speculators in grain have suffered much and everyone curses those who have corn. McIndoe[?] is going to Scotland to see his friends; Jeff, his wife and baby have been to see the flowers. The Aldons are very unreasonable about the house at Druminargool and have declined to pay any rent. Discussion of railway works in Mullahead. Old Mr Marley of Portadown is dead and his son had requested leave to build on his land. |
