TitleLetter to Sir Sir Digby Mackworth, from George Gawler, United Service Club
DescriptionIn reply to "the severely painful case of which I heard from you yesterday." A voyage to the distant and rapidly advancing provinces may aid the spiritual improvement of Lord Frederick by filling his mind with practical information and experience. The climate in South Australia is good, the journey safe and the society unobjectionable, excepting that there is little high aristocracy. Discussion of possible employment for Frederick, suggested allowance, ships and agents, clothing and equipment etc. It would be better to send him with an excellent wife, in case he form an unsuitable attachment there.
