TitleLetter to the Duke of Manchester, from Lady Olivia Bernard Sparrow, written at sea en route to Port Patrick from Ireland
DescriptionWith an account of a recent conversation with the landlady at Arthur's Hotel - she is a good Presbyterian, who won't allow any Roman Catholics in her house, and is long acquainted with Lord Londonderry. She has frequently called Londonderry to account and hears the most seditious things against the Queen. She has met Mr McDowell of Glenarm , Mr S Crawford M.P., and others. Thought it very fortunate the meeting had been prevented. Report of Londerry being drunk at a meeting of some agriculturalists. She is anxious for news of Fred. She will give £1000 to hurry the new rooms at Tandragee for Millicent.
