Title	Letter to the Duke of Manchester, from Reverend Thomas Ainsworth, Kimbolton
Description	In reference to some gossip in Kimbolton. He is glad to hear His Grace's enquiries have been attended so satisfactorily. He did not hear the accusations from the Gordons but he has not spoken to the Gordons. "We have suffered enough from the Gordons, both when we were in the Castle and since, ever to take them into our confidence." The matter is of common notoriety and he encloses one of the letters he has received about the subject. In future there should be perfect confidence between them or he cannot be happy to remain in this parish.
