Reciting a lease for 12 years by Sir Edward Montagu of Broughton [Northants] and Sir Henry Montagu, Recorder of the City of London, to (i). Present indenture made at the request of William Hill of Lincoln’s Inn, with term to last during the natural life of his wife Susannah.

Property set out in attached schedule: pasture ground called New Park, in the occupation of Oliver Bateman; one close called Buckbey, in the occupation of William Hawkins; two closes, part of the Castle pasture, in the occupation of Roger Vaughan and Edmund Robinson; one close called the Castle Meadow, late in the occupation of Sir James Wingfield; several parcels of pasture known as the Blackquarter, with dwelling houses etc, now in the occupation of William Clapham, Richard Elkin, Robert Quenby[?], Richard Deanes, Thomas Allen, William Lawe, Thomas Gore, George Pentlow and Robert Middleton; one ancient close in Overstowe, in the occupation of Robert Rudd; one close, part of the Castle pasture, known as Caves Pasture; one parcel of land in Stonely Field; one close, known as Kendalls Close, in the occupation of Anthony Smith; two closes in the town pasture in the occupation of Oliver Carter; one close in the occupation of Joan Baxter; one close in the occupation of Henry Deanes; one close in the occupation of Edward Cave; also one close in Little Park in the occupation of Thomas Harrison; one close in Little Park in the occupation of John Bull; one close in the occupation of Henry Bull; closes in the occupation of Thomas Bedells and John Smith; one close in the occupation of Thomas Lawnders; one close in the occupation of Richard Bull; one close in the occupation of Henry Pole; one close in the occupation of Robert Brown; once close in the occupation of Robert Scarborow and others; one close in the occupation of Harrison and Robert Reyles; one close known as Newetaynter Close in the occupation of Thomas Adson; one close in the Blackquarter in the occupation of William Meryll.
