Best site in parish for good water supply: dam brook supplied by Duke’s fish pond; drain 10-acre field into reservoir; sink well; pipe from springs in hill; collect rainwater as at Castle. Mr. Welstead unlikely to agree to joint supply & Castle has barely enough water from springs on other side of road. No idea of cost.
