DescriptionRobert Smith of Ramsey, gentleman and his wife Dorothy, nee Campion, to William Campion, gentleman of Ramsey, brother of Dorothy Smith, to the use of Robert Smith during his life and then to Dorothy Smith and her heirs forever. 9 acres in the Vineyard Croft, Apple Tree Croft and Stonehouse Croft, and 6 acres 2 roods in Wistow, devised to Dorothy Smith by her father William Campion. In lieu of the property in Wistow, Robert Smith was awarded, by the inclosure act for Wistow of 1833, 6 acres 1 rood 12 perches in Kingsland, Wistow. This award was subject to a private road, 20 feet wide, over the E. from an ancient inclosure in Bury belonging to John Pooley, the parish of Bury to the Waud N, an allotment awarded to Thomas Burges to the E. on the S. bounded by the Upwood-Bury Road, and on the SW. by an allotment awarded to William Henry Fellowes. With the certificate of Dorothy Smith, producing the documents at above (14th December 1837).
