TitleFoundation Stone Laying Ceremony, Wesleyan Methodist Chapel, Huntingdon
DescriptionThe Methodist Church at the south end of Huntingdon High Street was built in 1878. It was designed by the Huntingdon architect, Robert Hutchinson, and when finished it accommodated 500 worshippers. One foundation stone was laid by Bateman Brown who was Mayor of the town in that year, and a second stone was laid by the Mayor of Godmanchester, Joseph Banks Wilkinson
