DescriptionThe old list to the Whitney collection catalogued this as "possibly marriage of Charlotte Burnaby to Major FG Beville, Indian Staff Corps". However, it is now thought that it is of the marriage of John Rolleston Prickett of Bridlington, Lieutenant in the Royal Navy and Caroline Maria Burnaby, daughter of Thomas Fowke Andrew Burnaby. This marriage took place in Brampton on 20 January 1880 and this view the bride and groom with their attendants are assembled outside what appears to be Brampton Manor, the home of the Burnaby family
