TitleThe Reverend Ripley's Servants.
DescriptionThe four servants of the Reverend Ripley sitting at a desk in the garden. The Reverend John Nottidge Ripley was Vicar of Hartford parish from 1870 - 1880. This glass plate is dated June 1880 (as is WH3/1175a), and it is possible that this photograph was taken at the same time as WH3/1172 and WH3/1175. Could it have been taken when the Reverend Ripley moved from the parish, as a reminder of his time in Hartford?
