TitleThe Reverend Ripley's Carriage
DescriptionThe carriage of the Reverend Ripley is drawn up outside a house, with two children and a lady sitting behind the driver of the carriage. A man and a young boy stand beside the carriage. This view is similar to WH3/1172, and was presumably taken at the same time. The Reverend John Nottidge Ripley was Vicar of Hartford parish from 1870 - 1880. WH3/1172 and WH3/1175a are both dated June 1880, so this view can probably be considered to be of the same date. Could it have been taken when the Reverend Ripley moved from the parish, as a reminder of his time in Hartford?
