DescriptionIt had been suggested on the old list to the Whitney collection that this is possibly the marriage of William James Levitt and Mary M Robinson, which took place on the 17th January 1893 at Hemingford Abbots, but the surname Livett and not Levitt is clearly written on the glass plate and is also recorded in the Maddison & Hinde order book. There are many Livett marriages during the 1880s and 1890s in the Huntingdon district, and this group has not been definitely identified. According to the 1890 trade directory, a William Livett, beer retailer and book maker, lived in Great Northern Street, Huntingdon, but the house behind this group does not quite look as though it is in this Huntingdon street. This plate is similar to WH3/1529B, which has a better view of the house behind the group
