| Description | The building was probably built during the reign of Elizabeth I, of local red brick with massive roof timbers. Cromwell was supposed to have drilled his troops here, but there is no evidence to link Cromwell with the barn during his years in St Ives. The early OS maps show the barn at Green End Farm on the Houghton Road, just after the junction with Ramsey Road.
By the 1960s the barn was in a poor state and needed extensive repairs. It was, according to Valerie Kendall, being used as a storage depot for a marketing association by this date and was eventually pulled down in 1963 (or in 1964 according to Bob Burn-Murdoch)
