DescriptionThe 1898 trade directory lists a Mr Richard Ashton living at 1 The Walks North, Huntingdon. The house was known as Lawrence Cottage or Villa. The house was sold to All Saints Church as a Rectory between 1916-1918, and the Reverend Latham, Reverend G Bailey, Canon S Addleshaw and Canon J Bagley lived here. The drawing room was of a later date than the rest of the house, and had been built on to the rear of the property. The house was demolished when that part of the ring road was built around the town in the 1960s. For an exterior view of the house, see WH3/2469
