DescriptionSamuel Herbert Whitbread and Lord Lucas standing outside an unidentified clubhouse. Mr Whitbread had been elected as a Radical Member of Parliament for South Huntingdonshire in January 1906. Auberon Thomas Herbert, 9th Baron Lucas and 5th Lord Dingwall (1876-1916) was also a politician, serving in Herbert Asquith's cabinet as President of the Board of Agriculture 1914-1915. During the First World War he served in the Royal Flying Corps, and was reported missing, presumed killed in action, in 1916. As he had not married, his titles passed to his sister, Nan Ino Herbert.
