DescriptionThis image is described as Goggs Picnic Group in the Maddison & Hinde order book. It is the same image as DC176, which was annotated by the photographer Ernest Whitney before the prints were presented to the Archives in the early 1970s. Mr Whitney described this image as the members of the Huntingdon Lawn Tennis Club, and wrote the names of many of the individuals on the photograph. In the top row, left to right, are a Miss Sarll, an unidentified gentleman, a Mrs Goggs, an unidentified lady, another Miss Sarll, and an unidentified gentleman. Middle row l-r, unidentified lady, a Miss Ridgeley, three unidentified individuals, and Mr Wally Driver leaning against the fence. Seated row l-r an unidentified gentleman, a Mrs Tysoe, an unidentified lady, a Mrs Beck and Leila Hinde, wife of the photographer Frederick Hinde. Frederick Hinde himself is sitting on the grass on the left of the image, while the other gentleman in unidentified. See also 6073/3/139.
