TitleMr Radley's Bleriot Monoplane on Portholme
DescriptionThe Hunts Post of 1910 regularly reported on the flying exploits of Mr James Radley and his colleagues on Portholme Meadow. On the 9th April 1910 it carried a report on Huntingdon Aeroplanes: "Mr James Radley, whose arrival with his Bleriot monoplane we announced last week, up to the present had not attempted to make a trial flight. The machine, the lines of which very much resemble a huge dragon fly, was put together on Friday morning and wheeled on to Portholme for the purpose of being photographed." Presumably this and the other three photographs were the ones taken by Frederick Hinde on that day.
This image shows the rear view of the monoplane, with Mr Radley sitting in the pilot seat.
