Company, Euston Station, London, with thanks for the details of camping coaches sent but expressing annoyance that in communication last year with the company there was no indication that his idea 'was not an original one'. With reply from E. J. H. Lemon, explaining how changing circumstances made the camping coaches possible this year.
31-32 - T.C. Langdon, St. Bartholomew's Hospital, London, to private secretary enclosing a copy of the testimonial Varrier-Jones sent last year, and sending his best wishes for a swift recovery to him. With copy of the testimonial..

Langdon, Red Cottage, Shootersway Lane, Northchurch, Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, asking Sir Pendrill to provide another testimonial for the 'Tancred' people who may give him a scholarship to Caius; also informing that he is in the first year at Bart's . With copy reply, 'promising to send another testimonial and is pleased with his progress at Bart's.
35 - Copy letter to O.N.Martin, Harleston, questioning whether he is liable to super-tax.
36-38 - Sir A. S. MacNalty, Ministry of Health, congratulating Varrier-Jones on his nomination for Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians but asking that he keep the congratulations confidential until official announcement. Also copy reply agreeing that it should be kept entirely confidential, and noting that whilst various people have congratulated him already, he 'must not count [his] chickens'.
39-40 - Letter from Arthur Gibbs, 6 Wesley Avenue, Park Royal, London, to Bertram Tallyn marked [for] 'Sir Pendrill', providing names of 'glass people' as requested. Also sending a leaflet obtained at an antique exhibition. Leaflet
41 - H. Mosley Fletcher, 98 Harley Street, London, congratulating Varrier-Jones on his election to the Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians and also inviting him to the Cambridge Graduates Club dinner.

43 - Copy letter to R. Harkness and Co., The Rose Gardens, Hitchin, requesting that when they dispatch an order they also send a few moss roses 'as a token of your appreciation of my efforts as a salesman for your firm'.
44 - Copy letter to Mr Wallace expressing interest in the nurseries upon a visit there, and commending his faith in the future despite the 'political chaos'. Also requesting that he send rough sketches of the designs for the gardens at Bryntirion before creating the final plans, so that he is able to annotate and alter them. Also asking Mr Wallace to extend the area of the plans to include the field in front of the house. Also detailing the limited accommodation available for the staff and suggesting they may prefer to find other lodgings.
45 - Frederick Menzies, London County Council, Public Health Department, County Hall, London, congratulating Varrier-Jones on becoming a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, and apologising that he will be absent at the meeting at which Varrier-Jones will be elected, because of a thrombosis.

Sibly, Wycliffe College, about the arrangements for the formal opening of a sanatorium and suggesting he speaks for 3-5 minutes before declaring it formally open, with copy letter to Siblely inviting him for a weekend at Bryntirion once term is over, and discussing the arrangements for the ceremony, informing him that he will have to leave early due to travel arrangements.

Copy reply from Varrier-Jones agreeing to be the guest of honour, although expressing his nervousness. Also informing him that the Duke of Kent has agreed to be the president of Papworth, and how fortunate they are.

51 - Copy letter to Mrs Chambers, 3 The Avenue, Brecon, distressed at the state of a [unspecified] grave, and enquiring if she knows of a monumental mason who could set granite chippings in the top, as in the graves of his grandfather and great-grandfather. Also in regret at missing her when he visited Llanfrynach [Brecons.] and apologising that the cheque sent to her was not for more.
