Arrangement | The boxes arrived at the Record Office in five metal record boxes. Four of these were of a standard size, and one was shallow but wider, of less familiar construction. The documents in the boxes had been kept in good order and condition, each bundle consisting of the documents relevant to the descent of any one piece of land or property. These bundles were examined and detailed notes were made upon a piece of paper by Mr Walden, formerly Deputy Clerk of Huntingdonshire County Council. He later inserted each of these sheets of notes with the relevant bundle of documents.
In July 1957 these notes were used as the basis for this list. |
