Freehold and copyhold estate in West Wratting and Weston to his eldest son, Chester Pern, when he reaches 21, failing which to his other children in order; freehold house in Saint Botolph, Cambridge, and freehold estate in Newnham, barn etc; leasehold Eagle and Child Inn with three tenements in Saint Benedict, Cambridge; 4 cottages between the workhouse and Story's Brewhouse in Saint Andrew, Cambridge, to his wife Catherine in trust for his children: house in Saint Botolph, Cambridge, where he dwells, with garden etc., including Bace (sic) stable, to his wife for life and then to his son, Chester, and his heirs, provided that Chester undertakes that Judith his daughter shall have a marriage portion of £1500 at least.
