DescriptionCatalogued by Susan Munt. The following group of letters, newspaper cuttings and photographs are mainly concerned with Edward Purkis Frost, Colonel Harry Frost, and Edward Granville Gordon Frost. Edward Purkis Frost had varied interests such as horticulture, aeronautics and sport. He was president of the Aeronautical Society of Great Britain, and published several books on the preservation of peace. Colonel Harry Frost, brother of the above, was an officer in the 4th Battalion, Suffolk Regiment. Edward Granville Gordon Frost was the second son of Colonel Harry Frost. He was made a J.P. in 1924, and became a member, and later Chairman of the Cambridgeshire County Council. In later life he was made a Commander of the British Empire and was Sheriff of the Counties of Cambridge and Huntingdon.
