DescriptionFolder containing multiple printed leaflets. The Citizen's Charter was an initiative launched by the then prime minister, John Major, in 1991 with the intention of improving public services. The County Council published in 1992 individual charter leaflets for all its services together with an over-arching charter leaflet for the County Council as a whole. The county records or archives service was included within the 'How the Council Works' leaflet. In June 1994 a further series of leaflets followed, focussed on the Council's service to businesses. The charter scheme was terminated in 2010.
