Records in this series relate to the Higher Grade school, the Central school and Cambridge Grammar school for boys. This is because in 1913 management of the Higher Grade School passed to the Borough Council and the pupils were transferred to new premises at Melbourne Place. In 1919 the school became the Central Council School.
