DescriptionA copy of the determination of the Commissioners for settling the drainage of the Great Level called the Bedford Level, kept in the High Court of Chancery, concerning the apportionment of common, waste, fen and marsh grounds in Littleport. The determination of allotments was necessary due to the Act for draining the level, 15 Car. II c.17 (18 February 1663) which divided up the land for improvements. Gives names of the tenants of the manor of Littleport who were holders of ancient messuages and cottages and the amount of fen allotted to them and to the town in the several droves, fields, marshes and fens. Huntingdon (A copy of the judgement is in P109/25/12).
