DescriptionThe Gay Outdoor Club (GOC) has about forty branches across the UK including Cambridge. The GOC is registered as a company limited by guarantee as well as a charity. The primary object of the GOC is to provide or assist in the provision of facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation or other leisure time occupation of any individuals who have need of such facilities especially, but not exclusively, gay men and women with the object of improving their conditions of life. Cambridge GOC worked closely with the Cambridge Gay Group in their common function to provide social activities for the local gay community.
