TitleHidden Heritages Cambridgeshire
DescriptionHidden Heritages Cambridgeshire, funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, was an intergenerational oral history project with diverse South Asian communities in Cambridgeshire. It commemorated two important anniversaries in 2022: the 50th anniversary of the South Asian expulsion from Uganda in 1972, and the 75th anniversary of partition and independence in 1947.

As part of the project, Hadithi C.I.C trained up participants, aged 15-25 years old, and from a range of South Asian backgrounds, in oral history. After three days of oral history training they carried out their own research, conducted interviews with community members and curated what they collected.

At the end of the project the interviews were deposited for preservation at Cambridgeshire Archives. A short film and 'Family Album' were also produced and deposited here.
