DescriptionOf ground 'lyeing and being on or near the Markett Hill in…Cambridge conteining in Length ffourscore ffoot and in Breadth thirty four ffoot' at a peppercorn rent 'to the Intent and purpose Nevertheless That there shall and may be Built and Erected upon the said Demised premises...A New Shirehouse for the said County consisting of Two Courts so as the same be Built upon Pillars Eleven ffoot high from the Ground The said Mayor Bailiffs and Burgesses always Reserving unto themselves the Stalls Standing and Cellars under such New Intended Building for their own sole and absolute use...That the passage or communication to and from the present Town Hall to such new Intended Building shall be Erected and Built at the Costs and Charges of the said County...'
