TitleOld Cantabrigians Society
DescriptionThe Old Cantabrigian Society was established in founded in the Summer of 1904 as the Old Boys' Club. The Club was the brainchild of Benjamin Newton the first Head Prefect who left the School in 1901. The first President was Headmaster C.J.N. Child. An informal magazine issued as a supplement to the School magazine was published occasionally before being suspended during the First World War. Meanwhile in 1911 a parallel organisation, the County Old Boys' Society was formed before it too went into abeyance during the war.

During the 1920s a series of efforts were made to form a unified Old Boys' Club though for some time interest was limited to School sports. From 1930 to 1939 a magazine supplement was again introduced though this was again halted by the Second World War. In 1946 the Old Boys' Society was re-established and a regular publication printed. The Society changed its name in 1948 to The Old Cantabrigian Society.
