There are a couple of pages torn from this register, resulting in the gap in the burial entries. There are marriage entries for 1671. These are the same as some of those given under 1670 in HP25/1/1/3 and one entry from 1672 in HP25/1/1/3 appears under 1671. The spellings of some names differ from those given in HP25/1/1/3 and sometimes this register includes the parishes of couples marrying, which do not appear in HP25/1/1/3. After the baptismal entries, two pages are covered with the recurring line: Give thanks to the Lord. Another page carries the lines: Harmless as a dove Robert. A third is inscribed: Be wise as a serpent and. The names Thomas Patteson, Robert Pattison his book, and Beniamin Pegus his book, also occur, as well as the date 1718.
