This paper register was rebound in 1953 by the Cambridge Binding Guild, and the section of burials 1777 to 1802 which forms the next register (P76/1/2B) was omitted. BURIALS missing 1738 to 1744, Occupations usually given.
Includes on front end leaves: Two fragments of a leaf (or leaves) formerly loosely inserted but now pasted in, one with Latin phrases and an English translation, the other containing the following memorandum: 'N.B. This Register was found in this sad and mutilated condition by me on my entrance on the Incumbency of Gamlingay. J.A. James, September 1847.' Receipt for two sums of 3d each on a wedding and a burial, 1783. (under the 1783 Stamp Act).
