In this image Mr Radley is sitting in his monoplane, with Will Moorhouse standing behind the plane, and bystanders (or work colleagues?) standing behind, one of whom has been identified as AE Russell. The plane was constructed in the old foundry in St John's Street, Huntingdon.
A Daphne Peacock identified the " man seated on the end" as Daniel Readman, a Brampton wheelwright who made the wheels. She believed his brother is also in the photograph. The man sitting in the cockpit of the plane is James Radley, therefore this Daniel Readman remains unidentified |
