TitleAn order to the Guardians of the Poor of North Witchford, Cambridge, to the churchwardens and overseers of Benwick, North Witchford, to give notice of and convene a meeting of the rate-payers and owners of property of Benwick to facilitate the conveyance of workhouses and other property.
DescriptionMessage in the margin states: A House called the Great House in the parish of Benwick and formley used as the Poor house of the said parish now in the respective occupation of Widow Stimpson, Widow Barker, Widow Jarman senior, Widow Jarman junior and Widow Barnes. Four cottages or tenements in the said parish now in the respective occupation of John Thorpe, John Ward, Thomas Palmer and William Layotn. A house in two tenements situate in the parish of Benwick aforesaid in the several occupations of Seth Barnes and Benjamin Payne with the garden thereunto belonging containing about twenty perches.
