DescriptionThat John Cotton, in return of livery of inheritance of lands specified and valued on annexed schedule (Manors of Exning, Wickhall alias Monkeswicke (in Wood Ditton), Landwade, Cheveley wirh advowson of church; Ditton Camoyes (in Wood Ditton), Lidgate with Cropley Park and advowson of church, and Coppidhall in Little Wigborough (Essex) with advowson of church), will pay double annual value from father's death to court of wards on any lands, which appear to or are proved to be omitted, concealed or undervalued and will not molest any tenant in dower. Sir William Cicill (sic), knight, Lord Burghley, and Richard Kingsemell, Esquire, respectively Treasurer and Surveyor of Court of Wales and Liveries, on behalf of Queen with John Cotton, Esquire, son and heir of Sir John Cotton, knight.
