DescriptionThese registered correspondence files supersede the series of committee papers. From the 1940s committee files were arranged with a committee name prefix and arranged into a numerical sequence. The series is now arranged to reflect this, alphabetically by Committee and then in numerical order of surviving files. Each file contains copy and original correspondence and memos sent from and received by the Town Clerk often with supporting documentation such as reports, extracts of minutes, and newspaper cuttings.
