DescriptionRecites: 1) Will and codicils of the 5th Earl of Sandwich (Hinch 1/1) 2) The death of the 5th Earl in June, 1814 and the proving of the will and codicils. 3) The death of the 6th Earl in May, 1818, intestate as to his real estates in England: 2 is his heir at law. 4) Hannah Teasdale died before the 5th Earl. 5) The death of Sir Alured Clarke in September, 1832 6) Most of the debts and legacies of the 5th Earl have been paid. 7) 2. Is entitled as the heir of the 6th Earl to the inheritance in fee simple in the estates in co. Huntingdon devised by the will of the 5th Earl, but still subject to a mortgage for £8,000 of 27th-28th November, 1812 (Hinch 2/44) 8) 2 William Stephen Poyntz has entered into arrangments for paying off this mortgage in order to enable him to make a settlement of certain portions of the estate in co. Huntingdon (in pursuance of Articles made on his intended marriage to Lady Mary Paget; Articles dated 5th September, 1838). Now 1 releases to 2 Such parts of the manors, lands etc. of the 5th Earl in Eynesbury, Hartford, Raveley, Warboys, Little Stukeley, Great Stukeley and Alconbury, co. Huntingdon, devised by the 5th Earl's will to 1. and Sir Alured Clarke, as have not been sold in pursuance of the trusts contained in the will.
