DescriptionIs enclosing printed instructions about pay. Gives details also of the sums to be allowed as a charge against the public for each Volunteer raised for the Militia, and of the pay for the Regiment's Surgeon for examining Volunteers at Head Quarters. An Estimate of the sum required to pay the first part Bounty and expense of the probable number of Volunteers to be assembled for examination and enrolment should be transmitted occasionally to the War Office, so that the Paymaster General may be instructed to send the sums required. Enclosed: 1) Daily Pay and Allowances of Officers, Non-Commissioned Officers, and Men of the Militia when called out for training and exercise in England and Wales. 18th August, 1852 2) Pay of the Militia, in a disembodied state, in England and Wales. 20th August, 1852
